The Quarterly Report is available on Professional, Business, and Enterprise plans.

Overview

The Quarterly Report aggregates your cloud spend into calendar quarters (Q1–Q4) and surfaces quarter-over-quarter growth rates, a ranked breakdown of services and accounts, and per-quarter service detail. It is designed for finance reviews, planning cycles, and executive reporting. Unlike the other dashboards which are account-scoped, the Quarterly Report can cover all accounts at once or be filtered to a single account.

Account Scope

Use the account selector in the page header to switch between:
  • All Accounts (default) — aggregates spend across every active account
  • A specific account — scopes the report to a single connected account

Date Range

Use the date picker to select the year or range to report on. The report automatically maps your selected range to calendar quarters (Jan–Mar, Apr–Jun, Jul–Sep, Oct–Dec). Quarters with no data appear in the grid as empty rather than being hidden.

Summary Cards

Four KPI cards appear at the top of the report:
CardDescription
Grand TotalTotal spend across all quarters in the selected range
Avg / QuarterGrand total divided by the number of quarters
Quarters with DataHow many quarters had non-zero spend, out of the total covered
Top Services TrackedNumber of distinct services ranked in the top services table

Quarter Breakdown Grid

Each quarter is shown as a card displaying:
  • Quarter label (e.g. Q2 2025) and date range (e.g. Apr 1 – Jun 30, 2025)
  • Total cost for the quarter
  • QoQ growth rate — percentage change vs the previous quarter (shown as for the first quarter)
  • Record count — number of individual billing records in that quarter
  • Service count — number of distinct services that had spend
  • Account count — number of accounts that contributed spend
  • Top 5 services for the quarter with their costs
Growth rates use colour coding: green for decreasing cost (saving), red for increasing cost (growth).

Quarter-over-Quarter Growth Rates

QoQ growth is calculated as the percentage change between each quarter’s total cost and the previous quarter’s total. The first quarter in the range always shows because there is no prior quarter to compare against. A positive QoQ rate means spend increased. A negative rate means spend decreased. Neither is inherently good or bad — it depends on whether growth was planned and whether it aligns with your cloud budget.

Top Services (All Quarters)

A ranked list of the highest-spending services across all quarters combined. Each entry shows the service name and its total spend across the full report period. This view answers “which service cost us the most this year?” across all accounts and quarters simultaneously.

Top Accounts (All Quarters)

A ranked list of the highest-spending accounts across all quarters combined. Each entry shows the account key and its total spend. This view is most useful when the report is scoped to All Accounts — it identifies which accounts drove the most cost over the year.

Tier Availability

The Quarterly Report requires Professional or above. On Starter, the page displays an upgrade prompt. The report is accessible immediately after upgrading and connecting at least one account with billing history.
